What Was Changed

  • 183 spoken guard-bark clips with the profane word silenced — only the word, not the line. The rest of the bark plays normally and the clip keeps its exact original length (across the game's two voice banks).
  • The few profane words in the on-screen text are replaced with same-length asterisks (e.g. a six-letter word becomes "******"). Sentence structure and punctuation are unchanged.
  • Blasphemy used as an exclamation or curse is filtered as profanity.
  • English only. Single-player. Saves and achievements are unaffected.

What Was NOT Changed

The story, the voice performances, the music, the art, and the stealth gameplay are untouched — only the flagged words change. Sound effects, ambience, and music are left as-is (only spoken guard barks with a flagged word are edited). Non-English text and audio are unchanged. Saves are 100% compatible (only text strings and audio frames inside the game's own files change — no scripting hooks, no DLL changes, no save-format impact) and achievements are unaffected.
